Refund & Cancellation Policy

We understand that travel plans can change. This policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled when you book a houseboat cruise with Boat Owner's Boat Rental.

1. How to Cancel

To cancel a booking, contact us as early as possible by phone, WhatsApp, or email using the details on our Contact page. Cancellations are effective only after we confirm receipt in writing.

2. Cancellation Charges

Our cancellation policy is straightforward and depends only on how far in advance you cancel:

Payment-gateway charges (typically 2–3%) are non-refundable and will be deducted from any approved refund amount.

3. Rescheduling

You may reschedule your booking free of charge if you request the change more than 15 days before the original check-in date, subject to availability. Reschedule requests within 15 days of check-in are treated as cancellations under the policy above.

4. Cancellations By Us

In rare cases, we may need to cancel a booking due to weather, mechanical issues, or government restrictions. If this happens, we will offer you the choice of:

• A full refund of all amounts paid, or
• Rescheduling to alternate dates of your choice without penalty, or
• Switching to a comparable boat at no additional cost (subject to availability).

5. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for cancellations caused by events outside our control — including floods, storms, strikes, government action, or pandemics. In such cases we will work with you in good faith to reschedule, but cash refunds are not guaranteed.

6. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 7–10 business days. The actual time to reflect in your account depends on your bank or card issuer.

7. Disputes

If you have a concern about a refund, please raise it with us first. We aim to resolve all genuine disputes amicably and fairly.
